Stay Cozy with Clean, Efficient Gas Heating Systems
Gas furnaces can be powered with either propane or natural gas. Both natural gas and propane furnaces are energy-efficient and clean-burning. Some newer models are up to 95% energy-efficient saving you more energy and money.
How a gas furnace keeps you warm and cozy
The thermostat on the furnace signals the unit to start heating. Propane or natural gas is then ignited in the burner, a pilot light, inside the combustion chamber. This heats the gas and passes it through ductwork in your home.
As the warm air leaves the ductwork and enters its home, the cold air is forced back towards the furnace by the ducts, leaving the warm air alone in the room, and this process repeats itself as needed to keep your home warm and cozy.
The power to power other appliances
Once you have a gas or propane hookup, you can easily add on other energy-efficient appliances like water heaters, stoves, fireplaces and dryers. Converting to these types of appliances will yield even greater year-round energy savings!
The many benefits of gas furnaces:
- Energy efficient
- Warmer, faster hot air
- Environmentally friendly
- Easier maintenance
- Easily add on other gas appliances
