Saving You Energy with Every Step

The Home Energy Assessment Process

Each Step Saves You Energy

When you schedule a Home Energy Solutions Assessment and Equipment Check, we’ll send a team of two to your home to do an analysis of how your home is using and losing energy, and we’ll take steps to help you increase your energy efficiency and decrease your monthly bills.

On-the-Spot Savings

This appointment is valued at over $1,000 – and the average homeowner saves about $500 in fuel and electricity expenses per year! If you meet certain income eligibility requirements, we can help you get equipment upgrades such as furnaces, boilers, hot water heaters and windows at no cost.

How We Do It. Step By Step.

Changing LED bulb

Step #1

Upon arrival, our team will do a walk through to identify obvious efficiency opportunities. We’ll replace any incandescent bulbs with LEDs and we’ll install low-flow aerators, showerheads and hot water pipe insulation.

Step #2

Then, we’ll perform a blower door test. This will help us pinpoint the areas that are causing energy loss in your home.

Step #3

In this step, we’ll take air sealing and duct sealing measures to reduce the possibility of drafts -- optimizing your energy use and comfort.

Step #4

Finally, we’ll present all of our findings to you. You’ll see how much energy and money you’re saving as a result of the appointment. We’ll also review any further recommendations and detail expected return on your investment. If you move forward with any recommendations (entirely up to you), we will work with you to secure any rebates or incentives.

Several thumbs up.
"They spent 4 full hours conducting a detailed, comprehensive and professional energy audit. At every turn, they took action where they could, made specific recommendations about improvements that could be made, and applied all incentives and rebates for these services. My wife and I were very pleased."
